Möbius Music Box

Hey, remember that music box kit I was playing with a few months ago? Vi Hart had the brilliant idea of twisting the paper into a Möbius strip! This effectively doubles the length of the music and presents an interesting compositional challenge.

That does sound interesting. Did you try composing anything for it?
So you have a stretch of music A followed by the same stretch played upside-down A’, and then it repeats A again?

Sounds like a canon with melodic inversion

except in this case you have whole chords inverted.
I wonder if any of Bach’s canons could be encoded this way?

And presumably you have to make the end of A’ flow naturally into the beginning of A….
